HEUR-L50 is a polyether polyurethane association thickener with strong association properties. Provides efficient thickening, strong pseudoplasticity, and excellent fluidity and leveling in the low shear rate range; Applied to the color system, excellent dispersion performance, can help the pigment in the formula wetting and dispersion, uniform and plump paint film, does not affect the luster.

It can be added during the grinding or paint blending stage, or after adding the emulsion. It is recommended to add 0.5-3% (total formula), and the exact amount of addition should be determined by different formulations and required viscosity. In order to better disperse and avoid agglomeration, use water or cosolvent 1:1 dilution before adding.

Notes

1.The association thickening is affected by temperature. The viscosity is higher at low temperature and lower at high temperature. Temperature conditions should be considered when designing the formula;

2.When the batch of thickened material is changed, the test should be done again to determine the amount of thickener;

3.Its viscosity has a temperature effect, so it is easy to pump above 20℃.

It is used for water-based synthetic leather, water-based paint, water-based adhesive and other fields. The composite use with cellulose ether and polyacrylic acid thickener can give the coating better leveling property and anti-splash property.
